Mississippi County Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce the promotion of Brad Harrison to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Brad has been employed by the cooperative for the past five years. Brad previous position with the cooperative was Vice President of Engineering and Operations. He started his cooperative career in 2000 at Craighead Electric Cooperative as an Engineering Intern while obtaining his Electrical Engineering degree from Arkansas State University. In the spring of 2008 Brad received his Master of Business Administration degree from Union University. In his new position Brad will be adding to his duties, the oversight and direction of all front office operations. This with his operational experience will allow him to maximize the integration of new, leading edge technology that is becoming the standard for electric utilities. Smart Grid technology and energy efficiency is here now and must be moved on now. MCEC CEO Hellums commented that “All of Brad’s education and experience will be called upon during the future growth of the cooperative, including his initial assignment at the cooperative of four months at lineman training school, learning to build a power line. Brad has always exhibited the ability to understand the task and pull all resources together and accomplish the mission. I am confident he will continue to succeed, for the betterment of the cooperative.”
Brad and his family currently reside in Gosnell, where his wife Jennifer is an elementary school teacher for the Gosnell Public School District. They have one son, Hudson, who is two years old.
